Project Dwarf Goats is an active, privately developed systems-research project. Its current public record includes selected milestone results, dated technical accomplishments, Builder Log entries, technical progress reports, and selected evidence. Its active source repositories, unreleased source and builds, detailed reproduction machinery, internal engineering artifacts, and private laboratory records remain private.
That distinction matters: the research program is not wholly private, because selected results are deliberately published. But no public source release has been made at this stage, and the public milestone record is not a complete reproduction package.
Identifiers preserve the record
Public milestone records may include Git commit identifiers, physical release identifiers, and cryptographic hashes. They establish provenance, chronology, milestone identity, and evidence integrity. They are historical verification markers—not public repository links, source-code downloads, or a representation that the underlying engineering repository is publicly accessible.
GNU lineage and applicable licenses
Dwarf Goats builds upon GNU Mach, the GNU Hurd, and other third-party software under their respective licenses. The project respects Richard Stallman, GNU, the GNU Mach and GNU Hurd developers, and the predecessor work that made this research possible. Neither Ron, Agentic Code AI, nor Dwarf Goats claims proprietary ownership of GNU Mach or the GNU Hurd.
Any future distribution of covered software will comply with applicable licensing and source-availability requirements. This private active-development model does not nullify those licenses, and it should not be read as an endorsement of Dwarf Goats by GNU, the Free Software Foundation, Richard Stallman, or upstream developers.
Future releases and sustainable research
No final software-release model or public schedule is being promised today. Future source releases, upstream contributions, packaged releases, and distribution models remain under development and will depend on technical readiness, applicable licensing, research priorities, and strategic timing.
Dwarf Goats operates as independently funded private laboratory research. Its long-term sustainability may be supported by research grants, sponsored research, hardware, integration, support, custom engineering, technical documentation, books, training or reference material, and other lawful commercial opportunities. These are possible future mechanisms, not announcements of awards, sponsors, customers, products, pricing, contracts, or release dates.
